ARE THERE PIXIES IN OUR GARDEN!!!

These is cool...well I think so...But it doesn't take much to amuse me...And people would say that I'm off with the Pixies anyway!!!
We have had lots of rain this week and these cute little Fungi appear in an ark shape, and the old truck happen to be sitting where it is...!
I wonder if there are Pixies in the trunk protecting gold...is that how the fairy tails go!!! One could only dream...He He...Crazy I know, but the pics are cool...well I think so!

'OLD BOILER RETREAT 2'

Earlier this year my friend of 25 years came to visit for a week....my hubby refers to us as old boilers since we left our 30's....so I blogged, calling it Camp Old Boiler!
Well,we have only one more sleep to go, and 'Old Boiler Retreat' is on again for another week....YIPPEE!
So lots of time will be spent in the new retreat (my last blog). A girly day in Dubbo....Maybe bush walking at the Warrumbungles....Try out a few coffee shops.... Pleasant walks along the river with the old dog....Plenty of giggling....Craft for sure.
We also live in town now, so I'm certain we'll find lots to do.
Cheers Nic

HUSBANDS, DOGS, CAT...PLUS LOST PICTURES

My Husband has been on holidays for 3 weeks. I have a project I'v been wanting to start for a while. Hublet was ever so helpful by making a start....can you tell what it is....will show the finished product at the end of this blog....

LOST PICTURES
In my previous blog, I sent a picture via my phone....I forgot that I had taken some earlier....So now Thimby can get a better look....Cheers Luv!

DOGS and CATS
Our sweet dog Ginny

Ginny is waiting on tests for breast cancer....Hang in old girl..... :(
CATS
I give up on this pair....I found some rrrreally cheap cat beds and thought they would be great for the end of the marital bed....for cleanliness reasons mainly....so lets see how that went!

No more treats for them....I guess the saying is true about 'Dogs having masters and Cats have servants'
Hublet's finished project

I luv old stuff soooo much!

I must change the back splash....yuk
Thankyou wondeful hublet..........I can buy the 80mtr rolls from town for only $2.53 per roll....BARGAIN

OH MY GOSH, A GREY NOMAD'S RETIREMENT.....EXPLANED

We live next door to a caravan park. Each day we have new neighbour's, and each morning, I walk the Kidlets to school.....Feeling like an Esma Watson,,,Glades Cravats,,, or a Collin Smart...I check out whats happening over the fence.
I was lost for words a few days ago as one of the Grey Nomads (Superannuates) had stayed on, BUT, BUT, BUT, what lost my words, was WHAT was sitting in the front seat!!!!!!!!!!! What was it you wonder?
Now after a few days of using my WEIRD imagination.....This is what I came up with, to explain what I saw.
So it would not be uncommon for the Grey Nomads to have their loved one cremated and take the ern on their travels!!! OR, OR, OR, if they are broke from spending all their retirement on Camper Vans or RV's, you could (with the up most respect) just strap them in and off you go.....'what' you say?
Check out these pictures and tell me what you think....

     LOOK CLOSER

Now do you think I'm crazy? I REALLY, REALLY want one.....When the couple are traveling, it sits up in the Mini Moke that they tow....So cool.
LUV IT
Cheers Nic

OMG...KATE NOONAN IN DUBBO...HAPPY GIGGLE

Well I got to see Kate Noonan perform....something I thought would never happen. Kate is an ARIA award winner with the album, Before Time Could Change Us. Kate Noonan is a talented Song Writer, Producer, pianist, a multi award winning & six-time platinum selling singer, and is very blessed with the voice of an angel.
Kate teamed up with Karin Schaupp, who is an outstanding guitarist on the international scene. I enjoyed Karin very much and she is so very talented.

I luv this album....it great when the brain is busy...

I found this, I was in the from row, (very excitement) This is Katie and Karin doing Roxanne by Sting.

I like this one as well....such a versitle singer.
We had a wonderful night, and it was great to catch up with my dear friends.

'CATS GOT THE CREAM'

We are very glad that we built a cat cage.....One reason why is this beautiful Mallee Ring neck....

The girls have settled in well....and given that they HATE each other, you can imagine my surprise...

Then a week later....

OMG...OMG...They seem to be happy if there is no touching.....As you can see, the Siamese still THINKS she dominates......and here is the cage...

3 x 4 metres keeps them happy....They enter through a cat door that is fixed in the window.

I can shut them out if need be, and the old dog kennel came in handy....The project was cheap and now if friend don't fancy cats....I just lock them out. Its amazing how much cleaner they are as well.

WHAT MAKES ME LAUGH!

YES, I know we all get these clogging our in box, but Really Truly, these are funny & if you don't think so, then I must be bonkers.
One of my bestest buddies rang me, and said her family thought she'd lost the plot, as she viewed the pics after a bad day, she cried laughed and giggled.  She said they put a smile back on her dial.....!

I Love this one

He looks like Sloth off Ice Age

OK, so I've got no craft to blog cause we have just purchased a house, and now that my Sew Jo is back, I haven't time to sew. HOWEVER, I'm off to Nundle on the weekend, where I'm bursting my seams to meet lots of other Blogger's. Apparently they gather for a crafty workshop with Anni Downs Hatched and patched
this year. Although, the email loop is making me think that I just may return home TIED!
Well here I go....Look after me Chooky

A special lady gave this story to me and I think it's soooo great that I thought I should share it.
Please take the time to read it, it's worth it!
I hope you enjoyed the story, I guess we will all take from it a different message, either way it doesn't matter...My dear friend is putting a copy up at the correctional centre she works at....!!!
One another note...We are waiting to hear if we have been approved for a home loan...so I hope my new bus pulls up real soon!

IT'S LIKE BEING YOUNG AGAIN !!!

Fancy the kidlets finishing school a good week before Christmas.....I remember always finishing this early.....We can now settle into the holidays, plan our weeks, and just enjoy not being a slave to the clock and calender! I also remember the excitement for Christmas would build in that week before, with Mum and my sister running around doing the last minute things. I remember the Aussie Christmas bush in a vase on the side board & Grandma would bring some pickings of Holly (that doesn't flower here at Xmas) and sneaking her homemade short bread. My Auntie made pudding with threepence in them which she would buy back for five cents each....
I could go on forever......I am going to take the Kidlets to town next week (crazy women) so they can experience the hype of it all....will catch a movie, see other friends through the week, and they to, can have some new memories to think about when they grow up.
Its so easy to forget that 'feeling', and the smells of Christmas!....But so true how children bring it back for you. I hope you all feel that twinkle next week and enjoy the time you share with the ones you luv.

QUICK, WE HAD A HOLIDAY...YEHA

We have not done much of the Holiday thing with the Kidlets for some years!
So with money low, we made do with what was local. Lightning Ridge is two hours away. With the HOT bore baths as a new experience, the Kidlets were very please ( to hot for us to swim in ). Then down an Opal mine we braved. I decided to got off the track to find some remote Pubs.
Not to forget the big bush walking adventures through the Warrumbangles.

Don't you hate these, but I luv the cartoon!

Fossicking!

Still poor!

Grawin Hilton Pub....complete with a Pit loo!....Great lunch

This is simple cool.....just found it driving along.
